Buggalug bubbles

I just had to show you this wonderful new shop selling handmade soap for sensitive skin.

Gemma from Buggalug Bubbles is really pleased to have recently been accepted as a member of the Guild of Craft Soap & Toiletry Makers, so you know that all her products are safe and have been tested
www.gcstm.co.uk
The Guild has two very specific aims: (1) To raise awareness of the legislative standards that are in place that apply to craft soap and toiletry products (2) To register as members of the Guild crafters who work in compliance with this legislation and who hold relevant public liability insurance

Gemma explains why she started making soap

Since I hit my twenties I have always had issues with my skin, made worse by stress and hormones! At times it has been so sore it was painful to touch and even wash my face!

Just over a year ago, my mum took me shopping to a craft shop and together we found a soap making kit which included a pre-made soap base and moulds with fragrance and lemongrass and moss to add in to the soaps... you melted them down in the microwave and made them in to whatever shape your imagination would conjour up! I had so much fun making pink glittery cupcakes and hearts and lemon pies... The more fun I had with it, the more I researched what you could do with soap. After a while of playing, I thought why not look in to how I can make a soap that works with my skin rather than against it... I have tried so many fragrance free soaps and expensive lotions and potions, which all either made it worse or dried my skin so it looked dull and flaky all of the time... After almost a year of researching and attending workshops I have created a soap which my skin cannot get enough of! It is simple and moisturing. Since I started using it I have much less sores, redness and I can actually wash my face without it hurting! It sounds so simple, but the difference it has made to me I want to shout about it and share it with everyone!

My recipe has 4 main ingredients, including shea butter to give those of us with delicate skin moisture and LUXURY! I have now had my recipe tested and approved by a certified chemist (something which is a legal requirement) I am also a member of the Guild of Craft Soap and Toiletry Makers, and I hope that you if you try you will feel the same luxury and happiness that comes with using good simple ingredients!
